What are achievements?

War Profiteer Badge (easy – 5 points): Earn 10,000 gold in Monsters' Den: Book of Dread

10,000 gold earned – You can visit the item shop by using the teleportation item. You can also check the value of the items in your inventory before making the trip.

Den Remodeling Badge (medium – 15 points): Complete either campaign in Monsters' Den: Book of Dread

Campaign completed – If you completed a campaign before the badge was added, enter a battle to have it awarded.

Super Spelunking Badge (hard – 30 points): Earn 50,000 points during either campaign in Monsters' Den: Book of Dread

50,000 points scored – Difficulty modifiers can speed this up a bit!

Doomed Heroes Badge (hard – 30 points): Reach wave 40 on survival mode in Monsters' Den: Book of Dread

Wave 40 reached – Your game must end for your score to be submitted. If you already reached wave 40 before the badge was added, enter a battle to have it awarded.

Description (Game published on 2008-05-12)

An expanded and updated version of the popular dungeon crawl RPG. New classes, items, monsters, quests.. as well as an improved interface. Also, a shop!

UPDATE: I know the game runs slowly on Kongregate, but there is a workaround which seems to help. Right-click on the game and select Settings, then set the amount of storage to ‘Unlimited’. (Don’t worry, the game saves still only amount to less than a megabyte)

Daave Aug. 28, 2008: The Doomed Heroes Badge is (relatively) easy if you pay attention to the skills and how they work. The Super Spelunker should in my opinion be worth more, if only for the reason that it'll take a lot longer. The fact that you can't save in survival mode is annoying.

Barmaley Aug. 27, 2008: Doomed heroes is easiest badge. Just use permanent skills, such as Inspire, Adrenaline, Balm, Swiftness. Dont' forget to restore spells on your char after death/rewive. Don't kill last monster in a wave, just pass and let your party full regen (save weakest monster for it). That's boring but helps. That's all. I've got over 80 and got tired.
